In September of 2020 we bought our first home. It was space we loved, shaped, and made truly our own. We poured countless hours of blood, sweat and tears into it — we painted and lime washed walls and kitchen cabinets, replaced the standard backyard sliding door with our 18-foot slide-and-stack doors, built a DIY backyard studio from scratch, designed custom wallpapers, filled every room with treasures from our travels and our favorite brands, the list goes on.
And yet, here we are, back to renting. Not because we regretted homeownership or wanted out, but because we always knew Texas wasn't going to be our forever home and we have a bigger vision in mind.
